Squamish is situated halfway between Vancouver and Whistler on Highway 99. With one highway and lots of transportation options, it’s easy to get here by bus, personal or hired car, water taxi (from Vancouver only) or charter flight. The District of Squamish has designated parking stalls for two hybrid carshare vehicles in Squamish operated by Modo.
What you should know:
One-way carsharing does not require users to return the vehicles to the location where the trip originated. There are currently no one-way carshare providers operating within the District of Squamish.
Ridesharing and carpooling are arrangements where individuals share a ride with a common origin or destination and share costs. This is not the same as for-profit organizations such as Uber (these are known as ride-hailing), that do not currently operate in Squamish.

Squamish has four main routes that connect Valleycliffe, Garibaldi Highlands, Garibaldi Estates and Brackendale to Downtown Squamish with low-rise, fully accessible conventional buses that are wheelchair, scooter, bicycle and stroller friendly.
