December 4 update:
Final tie-ins get underway this week and are scheduled to be completed by the end of next week. Any resident or business impacted by the tie-ins will be notified. Permanent pavement restorations will follow. Temporary asphalt is in place in multiple areas along Government Road. Thank you for your patience while we wrap up this infrastructure improvement project.
November 9 update:
Tie-ins and final paving between Brackendale and Government Road are taking place this week. Crews are starting watermain installation on the section between the Brackendale General Store and Depot Road.
October 23 update:
Work along Government Road from Judd Road to Eagle Run Drive continues.
Based on feedback from the community about traffic delays, south bound government has been detoured via Judd Road/Eagle Run Drive and North bound Government Road has been detoured via Eagle Run Drive/Meadow Avenue during working hours. Mainline installation on this phase is nearing completion and testing is planned for the week of October 30th. Please exercise caution in the work area.
October 3 update:
Work along Government Road from Judd Road to Eagle Run Drive continues and is progressing from north to south. Please expect single lane alternating traffic and plan your route around this area whenever possible. The southbound bus stop has been moved to the northwest corner of Judd Road and Government Road.
September 20 update:
Construction is close to being wrapped up on Depot Road, and we are about to start the Government Road section of the project, between Eagle Run and Depot Road. Pedestrians and cyclists, please avoid this section of Government Road during construction. The southbound bike lane will be closed in the immediate construction area, and there will be single lane alternating traffic, so delays should be anticipated.
Cottonwood Road is the safe alternative. From homes on the east side of Government Road, crossings to access Cottonwood Road can be made at Eagle Run, Judd, and the Brackendale General Store.

September 7 update:
Depot Road at the CN Rail Crossing will reopen by Friday,
September 8. In the meantime:
September 8 to late September:
Watermain installation on Arrowhead Road and Ross Road is nearing completion. Installation along Depot Road from the rail crossing to Government Road will follow.
Traffic Impact: Please expect single lane alternating traffic until
installation is complete.
Timeframe: Through late-September.
August 30 update:
Work at the Depot Road and CN Rail Crossing has experienced technical issues that are delaying completion. Drilling operations at the rail crossing may continue until September 1. We will provide additional information as it becomes available. We are working closely with the contractor to expedite the remaining work and apologize for any inconvenience the delay may cause.
Watermain construction will take place on Depot Road at the CN Rail Crossing.
Traffic Impact: Please expect single lane alternating traffic and delays of up to 10 minutes during the working hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The westbound lane will be closed at the CN Rail crossing from 5 p.m. overnight to 7 a.m. Please detour via Ross Road or use alternate routes.
Timeframe: August 15 to September 8 (anticipated)
Transit impact: The bus stop between Depot and Arrowhead will be closed.
